Aluminum lifting systems worthy of NASA
Thanks to the exceptional performance of REID’s lifting solutions, we’ve been entrusted to work with companies as prestigious as NASA. Their Valkyrie robot is a precious, 6’2”, 300lb state-of-the-art machine that represents a $2m+ investment. It’s designed to mimic the motion of an astronaut in a capsule or on a spacewalk.
The size of the investment and the vast amount of data it contained meant that NASA can never risk allowing the robot to fall over. NASA needed a back-up support system for when the robot was ‘on walkabout’. And that’s where our aluminium lifting systems came in.
