Our PORTADAVIT QUANTUM is a one-piece rapidly deployable solution that is available in a stropped or winched variant, they offer tremendous strength to weight ratio with the smallest stropped unit weighing just 40lb and can lift up 1320lb. The innovative design of the PORTADAVIT QUANTUM transfers the load to the kingpin at the base of the davit.

Each variant is available in two sizes, the PDQ1 provides a maximum reach of 47” and a maximum height of lift of 83” and the PDQ2 a maximum reach of 59” and a maximum height of lift of 77”.

Key Features for Personnel Lifting
Reach adjustment points – Each davit has 3 adjustment points of 3¾”. This enables the reach to be reduced, whilst increasing the height of lift to the maximum available. The reach adjustment provides simple flexibility when sockets are installed at different positions on different worksites or building configurations, which may require different reaches.
Easy rotation under load – The PORTADAVIT QUANTUM is assembled around a 2½" kingpin, which incorporates two parented bearings enabling rotation possible even when the davit is loaded. This can support set up from a position of safety and easy attachment of personnel when working at height.
One-piece retractable, lightweight construction – Due to a number of patented features, the PORTADAVIT QUANTUM folds and the davit arm retracts enabling the product to be easily stowed in a small space, placed in a small vehicle and transported to and around a worksite using the integrated carry handle or storage bag which is included as standard. The retractable davit is assembled quickly with push pins. This is essential when completing safety tasks where lightweight portability is a key priority.
No welding – No element of the davit is welded, eliminating the potential for weld fatigue and catastrophic failure of the product. Benign failure is a built-in feature of our products, ensuring the highest levels of safety for the user.
1 user for fall protection – The PORTADAVIT QUANTUM support one user for fall protection applications. It has been tested and is compliant with OSHA 1910 sub part I (.140) and 1926 sub part M.
Quick and easy assembly – No tools are required to assemble the PORTADAVIT QUANTUM. Assembly is completed by using a range of push pins and knurled nuts. You can watch our assembly videos here.
Double shackle head – Each variant of the PORTADAVIT QUANTUM has a double shackle head which can be used as an overhead anchor point for a fall protection application for a single user or for rigging ropes for rope access tasks.
Easy attachment of accessories to winched variant – Both the PDQ1W and PDQ2W has a double sheave head which allows for our range of winch brackets to be easily attached to either the column or backstay. We offer a range of winch brackets which are compatible with many personnel winches or fall arrest recovery device. The double sheave head provides users with the ability to combine a winch and a recovery fall arrest device which is ideal in confined space access scenarios.
