PORTX Barrel Mount
The PORTX Barrel Mount offers a robust and versatile solution for both trenching & shoring and mounting applications on parapet walls, where the mounting surface is greater than 2 ½".
The high strength galvanized steel PortX Barrel Mount has a clamping capacity from 2 ½" to 23 ½", meaning it can be used in conjunction with even the largest trench boxes as well as many conventional parapet walls in water site maintenance and other industrial applications.
A unique feature of the Barrel mount is that it allows for 90° of rotation whilst remaining fully fall arrest compliant. This means the operators can ascend and descend ladders or stairwells with complete confidence, even when these are offset from the base of the socket. In addition, the davit can perform a full 360° rotation whilst lifting material only loads up to a maximum of 350lb.
Optimised to be used in conjunction with the 31 ½" reach PortX Davit, the Barrel Mount can also be used with other Reid davit solutions up 47 ¼" reach, allowing increased versatility while taking advantage of the patented Reid kingpin bearing system, that makes rotating even heavier loads easy, while reducing maintenance needs
